The OPC Short-Term Outreach, Relief, and Missions (S.T.O.R.M) is looking for skilled and unskilled volunteers to help in Houston (Hurricane Harvey) and Key West, FL (Hurricane Irma). Although the help is urgent, they predict that help will be needed for 1-2 years. If you volunteer, you bear all travel and food costs, but housing is available. Please contact Janet Birkmann or David Nakhla at the S.T.O.R.M. Office. Visit www.opcstm.org for contact info and more information.
Evening Worship is canceled.
We continue our Bible study through the Ten Commandments on Wednesday evenings. Next week (Nov. 29), we’ll continue our study of the First Commandment, “No Other Gods.” We examine the Scriptures and have discussion. Join us as we dig deep.
The Session calls for the annual Good Shepherd OPC congregational meeting to be December 3 at 2PM. All members within the greater Cincinnati area are encouraged to be present for our business. The business we will conduct is regular - to hear the state of the church, to review the budget, to hold an election, to review and possibly change some church by-laws, and to have a corporation meeting with the Trustees. All non-members are welcome, but are not able to vote. There will be a time of questions and to hear of the plans for 2018. Please join us.
A copy of the by-laws and the budget are available on the table next to the bulletins for your review prior to the meeting. Each member family is welcome to a packet.
Angel Tree names will be available soon. Please consider showing love to a child whose father is incarcerated.
Pastor Chris will be on vacation the week of November 20-26. The Rev. Dr. Marc Clauson will preach in the morning service of November 26. The evening service is canceled on November 26.
This Sunday, please welcome Dr. Marc Clauson. Dr. Clauson, Professor of History and Law at Cedarville University, received his M.A. in political science from Marshall University, Juris Doctorate from West Virginia University, M.A. from Liberty University in Christian thought (early and patristic), M.Th. from Liberty University (Reformation and post-reformation history of theology), and Ph.D. in Modern European Intellectual History and Church History from the Universiteit van die Vrystaat, Bloemfontein, South Africa. Dr. Clauson is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America and the Reformed Episcopal Church.
