Here are your Good Shepherd OPC announcements and worship helps for the week of July 17-23, 2017.
If you have a prayer request, please forward it to Pastor Chris to be included in the congregational prayer on Sunday morning or evening.
The Lord’s Day (July 23)
Our six part series is called the Doctrines of Grace. In our fifth installment, we’ll look at the “I” in Tulip: Irresistible Grace.
The children have a class that uses Great Commission Publications curriculum.
We’ll begin a new, short five week series on the Minor Prophet, Zephaniah. His small book is near the end of the Old Testament and his focus, like most of the other Minor Prophets, is on the Lord’s judgment. This week we’ll look at “God’s Judgment on Corruption and Wickedness” from Zephaniah 1:1-6.
Romans 3:1-8, "God's Righteousness Upheld"
Join us for evening worship at 6 pm. Our study is in Romans and we have a discussion after the service.
The Bible Study will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, July 19 at 7 pm for our study on the Holy Spirit. We are using an abridged version of John Owen’s The Holy Spirit.
The Bible study will not meet July 26, August 2, and 9.
On the last Sunday of July, join us for a prayer meeting at 6 pm in lieu of the evening service. Prayer and prayer meetings are integral to the life and vitality of any church; they express our love and concern for one another as well as worship to the Lord.
Pastor Chris will be away on August 6. The Rev. Leo Frailey will preach in the morning service. The evening service is canceled.
Our fellowship lunch will be on August 13 after the morning service. Several foods and themes are prominent in August, including peaches, bacon, and hot and spicy food. Think along those lines and bring a dish to share.
We will have our seventh installment of the Embers to a Flame church revitalization video. Please join us at 2 pm on August 13 as we consider strategies of revitalization.
