These are your Good Shepherd OPC announcements and worship helps for the week of February 29-March 6, 2016.
If you have a prayer request, please forward it to Pastor Chris to be included in the congregational prayer on Sunday morning or evening.
The Lord’s Day (March 6)
We return to our previous study, Faith of Our Fathers, which is a study of the Westminster Confession of Faith. In this nine week class, we’ll explore and study chapter two, “Of God and the Holy Trinity.”
There are two children’s classes which use Great Commission Publications curriculum.
The Church is becoming an annoyance to the Jewish authorities and the apostles find themselves afflicted once more. In Acts 5:17-32, we’ll see “Escalating Opposition” as the apostles are arrested once more.
Living in God’s Kingdom seems quite different than we’re often led to believe. Rather than a series of cultural endeavors, Jesus continues to address the heart and behavior relating to yourself and others. Once more we’ll address Jesus’s shocking statements in Matthew 5:38-42, “Abused Liberties, Infringed Rights.”
Join us for prayer each Wednesday evening from 7-8 pm. Please send Pastor Chris any requests that you would like us to pray for.
Our fellowship lunch is Sunday, March 6 after the service. We’ll have Irish style foods in honor of St. Patrick.
The Presbytery of Ohio will meet on March 10-11 in Pataskala.
Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday March 13. Please remember to “spring ahead” one hour on Saturday, March 12.
