The Bible Study is on Wednesday at 7 pm where we will conclude our study of Judges-Ruth. Our study is Judges 21.

The session will meet on Tuesday, April 18 at 6:30 pm.

The Deacons have called for a Work Day on Saturday, April 29 from 9-1. There will be both inside and outside work.

Beginning May 3, we will take up a new topic of study: the Person and Work of the Holy Spirit We will use a Puritan paperback called The Holy Spirit by John Owen. This book has been abridged and modernized for grammar and language so as to make it “easy to read” as the cover indicates. The book costs $8.50 if you order through the church ($9.00 on Amazon). Please let Pastor Chris know next Sunday if you would like to purchase a book.

The next evening prayer meeting is Sunday, April 30 at 6:00 pm. If you have prayer requests, please send them to Pastor Chris.

The next fellowship lunch is Sunday, May 7 after the morning service.

To put action to our church revitalization strategies, there are two assignments that need done. First, if you have a story or anecdote or a general timeline of the history of the church, please send it to Pastor Chris. We are compiling a history of the church and all contributions will help us. Second, we are thinking about and asking god to lead us to understand where the church may have sinned or fallen short in its obligations. On April 30, we will begin a time of repentance for sins. Again, if you have considered the past and recognize an unrepentant sin, please send it to one of the elders.

Following our fellowship meal, we’ll watch the fourth session of the From Embers to a Flame Conference: Strategy 3.

The Session of Covenant Presbyterian Church (Vandalia, Ohio), having been appointed a special committee for arrangements for the service for ordination and installation of Daniel Doleys as pastor and of Dale Parsons and John Sutter as ruling elders, and for the particularization of Living Water Orthodox Presbyterian Church, call for a special meeting of Presbytery for Friday 26 May 2017 at 6:30 pm. At this time the presbytery will meet to approve the order of worship. 7:00 pm is the starting time for the ordination, installation, and particularization service. This meeting will be held at 1704 Sunset Ave, Springfield, OH 45505 (website: www.lh2opc.com).

The Machen Retreat & Conference Center, a ministry of the Presbytery of the Mid-Atlantic-OPC
Highland County, McDowell, Virginia, will host ‘HISTORY CAMP’ led by Professor Roger Schultz of Liberty University and Professor Nick Higgins of Regent University. This camp is for ages 12-18 and is June 26 through July 1. Register now by e-mailing Mrs. Sharon McCrina at fivepointers@comcast.net (full registration to follow online).

The Machen Retreat and Conference Center is also hosting Stronghold. Stronghold is a co-ed game for boys and girls, from 5th-12th grades. Be prepared to run with your unit, do drills to gain muscle memory and embark on epic battles. All of the foam weapons are designed to pass the national Dagorhir regulations. This means that they can swing with full force and will not cause serious damage to the body (bruises happen, as with any contact sport).  This sport is less dangerous than baseball, football or soccer. Pre-Register NOW!! Camp Dates: August 7th - 12th
Location: Machen Conference and Retreat Center, McDowell, VA Registration: pre-register by e-mailing stephen.ippolito.jr@gmail.com For more information: https://strongholdwithsire.wixsite.com/stronghold/stronghold-shields-up-camp-2017
