Acts 18:18-28, “God's Word in Ephesus”
Join us for a prayer meeting from 6-7 pm. Please send requests ahead of time; they will be compiled and listed in order to facilitate our praying.
Join us for an hour of prayer at 6 pm in lieu of evening worship.
The Bible Study is on Wednesday at 7 pm. Our study is Judges 15.
The session has called for an all-church prayer meeting on January 29 at 6 pm. We're asking that all members and regular attendees make an effort to prayer for an hour for the church. We'll do this each quarter on the fifth Sunday of the month.
Our next fellowship lunch is Sunday, February 5, 2017 after morning worship. Let’s try the theme “Soup or Bowl of Salad” again. So, soup and salad with appropriate sides.
Beginning on February 5 and continuing the first Sunday of each month after, we will have a self-tutored study through the From Embers to a Flame (video) conference. The session believes that the concepts and strategies in From Embers to a Flame are important for us as a church to know and implement. Please join us after our lunch and in lieu of the evening service. We will watch a conference session, taught by Rev. Harry Reeder, and have a discussion and implementation of the strategy. If you would like to purchase the book, you can do so at any online seller like Amazon.
The session will meet on Thursday, February 9 at 6:30 pm.
The women will meet for fellowship and study each month beginning on Friday, February 10 at Sarah Taylor’s house. They will pick up their study of Jerry Bridges’ book, The Practice of Godliness. Contact Ananda or Sarah for details.
The annual College and Career Winter Ski Weekend sponsored by Reformation OPC (Morgantown WV) is on February 17-19. Fliers with all the information are available in the church lobby. Room and board is complimentary with skiing and tubing options available at the prices listed in the flier.
On March 10-11, we will host presbytery. We're asking for all who are available for some or all of one or both days. We'll need help to set up, clean up and serve during the presbytery. We’ll serve several meals and snacks and care for the presbyters during their stay. If anyone is willing to host a presbyter, please contact Pastor Chris.
The Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra from Dordt College, a Christian college in NE Iowa, are coming to Cincinnati on Friday, March 10, for a 7:00 pm concert at Covenant-First Presbyterian Church. Local Dordt alumnus Donn Rubingh is arranging housing for the students. If you would be willing to provide housing to 2 Dordt students following the concert, please contact Donn at 513-385-3943 or email@example.com.
