The Lord’s Day (June 19)
Pastor Chris will provide a summary of the deliberations and actions of the 83rd General Assembly of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
There are two children’s classes which use Great Commission Publications curriculum.
Returning to Acts, we’ll turn to a famous portion of Scripture, the conversion of Saul. We’ll look at Acts 9:1-19a, “Saul's Conversion.”
Beginning a new study in Revelation, we’ll step slowly into the water. Our text is Revelation 1:1-3, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ.”
Please join us for prayer on Wednesday at 7 pm.
Thank you for your prayers while I (Pastor Chris) was at general Assembly. Please head to www.opc.org and click on the General assembly tab to read a report. The Presbytery of Ohio’s own Elder Paul Tavares from Covenant OPC in Grove City, PA was elected moderator.
Good Shepherd OPC’s new summer ministries begin on Sunday, June 19. For ten Sunday evenings, we’ll begin worship at 5:30 pm and have a time of fellowship at the conclusion of the service. Our service will be shorter and allow time for questions following the sermon. It will be a good opportunity to bring a friend. The topic will be Christ’s church as we delve into Revelation chapters 1-3.
We have two Bible studies during the summer. The first one starts June 21 and runs Tuesday evenings beginning at 7 pm at Kevin Yoho’s house. Pastor Chris will teach on the topic of the end times. The second study starts June 23 and run on Thursday evenings, beginning at 7 pm. This study is at Luke and Janien Denny’s house and Alex Eppstein will teach the Book of Ephesians. More information is available at the church. Each study is geared for you to invite friends and neighbors and we have invitation cards available.
Session meets on Wednesday, June 29 at 6:30 pm.
OPC Missionary Dinner and Presentation. Redeemer OPC is hosting the Richline family, missionaries to Uruguay, on Saturday July 9th for a fellowship dinner and presentation. For the meal at 5:00 pm, please bring a hot or cold dish to share. At 6:00 pm, we will hear Mark Richline present on the Lord’s work in building the church in Uruguay.
The Presbytery of Ohio Youth Camp is July 11-16.
The men and women are postponing their Bible studies until September.
