The Lord’s Day (September 20)
The adult Sunday school class is viewing the teaching “Angels and Demons” by Dr. R. C. Sproul. Here is the class summary for Part 8, “The Angel of Light” from the Ligonier website. “What image comes to mind when you hear the name of Satan? The Bible uses many different metaphors to describe his deceptive and destructive ways. He is cunning and a master of disguise. He is known as a prince and a lion, two terms also used for our Lord, but there is a great difference between Satan and God. In this message, Dr. Sproul exposes the one disguised as an angel of light as he teaches us how the devil works in our midst and how we can recognize his handy-work.”
There are two children’s classes; both use the Great Commission Publications curriculum, Show Me Jesus.
Our text is Hosea 8:1-14 and the title is “Inheriting the Wind.” The New Testament lesson is Romans 15:1-13.
We continue our study in 2 Thessalonians. The text is 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10, “Righteous Judgment.”
Sunday Evening worship is at 6 pm. If you have a psalm or hymn request, please send it to Pastor Chris during the week.
There is a prayer meeting on Wednesday at 7 pm. We meet weekly for prayer.
