The Lord’s Day (September 6)
The adult Sunday school class is viewing the teaching “Angels and Demons” by Dr. R. C. Sproul. Here is the class summary for Part 6, “Angel Worship” from the Ligonier website. “Scripture tells us that human beings were made a little lower than the angels. How then should Christians esteem the angels? Shall we bow before them in reverence and awe? The answer becomes abundantly clear when we read the book of Hebrews. In this message, Dr. Sproul explains how One greater than the angels has come and that He alone deserves our worship.”
There are two children’s classes; both use the Great Commission Publications curriculum, Show Me Jesus.
Our text is Hosea 6:4-7:2 and the title is “What Am I Going to Do with You?” The New Testament lesson is Romans 12:1-12.
Evening worship is at 2 pm. We begin a new study in 2 Thessalonians. As is our custom, we will give attention to the letter’s opening greetings, an encouraging part of the letter. Our text is 2 Thessalonians 1:1-2, “Greetings.”
Sunday Evening worship is at 2 pm, immediately following our lunch.
There will be no prayer meeting this week.
