The Lord’s Day (October 2)
For many Christians, doctrine is a severed entity. We tend to compartmentalize our thoughts on God, man, salvation, and last things. However, these doctrinal points are related and joined. In our class, The Promise of the Future, we are studying last things (eschatology), but we are studying with a view toward integration. Our complete salvation is tied to what happens at the end. Please join us this week as we study the nature of New Testament eschatology.
There are two classes for the children. Both us Great Commission Publications curriculum.
Acts 13:44-52, “A Light to the Gentiles”
Matthew 6:19-24, “Practicing Righteousness: Laying Up Treasure”
Our evening worship is at 2:00 pm following our fellowship lunch. We hope that you will join us for our Sabbath worship and fellowship.
On Sunday, October 2, we’ll have our monthly fellowship lunch. The theme is chili because the first week of October is National Chili Week.
We continue our Fall Bible Study each Wednesday at 7 pm at the church. Our study is through the Old Testament books of Judges and Ruth. Invite a friend.
The Session has called a congregational meeting for Sunday, October 9 following the morning service. We are asking that all regular attendees and members make every effort to attend this meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to inform the congregation about a ministry called Fanning the Flame and to discuss its usefulness for us. The two day seminar on Spiritual Foundations was a part of the overall ministry. Fanning the Flame’s goal is to strengthen churches, making them healthy and vital according to Gods Word. We would need your participation in this endeavor.
