The Lord’s Day (August 14)
Developing Christian Character, a twelve week video series featuring Dr. R. C. Sproul. This week is Lecture # 10: “Goodness and Faith.” From the Ligonier website: “The Apostle Paul gave the Galatian church a list of characteristics, or fruits, that should be manifest in the life of the believer. On that list, Paul included love, joy, peace, long-suffering and kindness. The next two items on that list are goodness and faith. We are without goodness and faith. What now shall we do with this list Paul gives us? How are we to manifest what we do not have? The problem is quickly resolved when we understand the nature and source of these fruits.”
The Inquirer’s Class is for all visitors who would like to learn about the church and non-communicant members and others who would like to become members. This week’s topic: Inquiring about Presbyterian Government.
There are two children’s classes which use Great Commission Publications curriculum.
What seemed like a most wonderful event – salvation for the Gentiles – was met with accusations and hostility. Peter explains and witnesses corroborate the events at Cornelius’s house. We’ll look at Acts 11:1-18, “God Gave the Same Gift.”
This week we go to Sardis. The text is Revelation 3:1-6, “You Have a Reputation.”
Our evening worship is at 5:30 pm through the summer, followed by table-talk. Please invite a friend.
The weekly Bible studies continue this week. A study of the end times by Pastor Chris is at Kevin Yoho’s house on Tuesday and a study in Ephesians is moved to the Eppstein’s house on Thursdays. Alex and Amy’s address is 3194 Myrtle Dr. Loveland OH 45140. Both begin at 7 pm.
The Session will meet on Wednesday, August 24 at 6:30 pm.
