Acts 19:1-22, “Piercing the Darkness”
Our evening worship is at 2 pm following the fellowship meal. This week we will begin our self-study on church revitalization using the “From Embers to a Flame” conference featuring Rev. Harry Reeder. After watching the video, we will have a time of discussion on implementing the principles we have learned.
We have our fellowship meal after the morning service. Please bring soup or salad (or both) with any sides you may think appropriate (bread, crackers, etc.). Our theme is “Soup or Bowl of Salad!”
There will not be an evening worship service. In its place, we’ll begin our self-study on church revitalization and nurture at 2 pm. Using a video from the conference recorded at Briarwood PCA in Birmingham, we’ll watch the first session and discuss the principles taught. The goal is to implement these strategies for our revitalization.
The Bible Study is on Wednesday at 7 pm. Our study is Judges 16.
The session will meet on Thursday, February 9 at 6:30 pm.
The women will meet for fellowship and study each month beginning on Friday, February 10 at Sarah Taylor’s house. They will pick up their study of Jerry Bridges’ book, The Practice of Godliness. Contact Ananda or Sarah for details.
The annual College and Career Winter Ski Weekend sponsored by Reformation OPC (Morgantown WV) is on February 17-19. Fliers with all the information are available in the church lobby. Room and board is complimentary with skiing and tubing options available at the prices listed in the flier.
On March 10-11, we will host presbytery. We're asking for all who are available for some or all of one or both days. We'll need help to set up, clean up and serve during the presbytery. We’ll serve several meals and snacks and care for the presbyters during their stay. If anyone is willing to host a presbyter, please contact Pastor Chris.
Grace Presbyterian Church (Columbus, OH) will be hosting another youth rally this spring. The dates are March 31 - April 2. We will send additional information as it becomes available.
The Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra from Dordt College, a Christian college in NE Iowa, are coming to Cincinnati on Friday, March 10, for a 7:00 pm concert at Covenant-First Presbyterian Church.
