The Lord’s Day (July 3) Sunday School Developing Christian Character, a twelve week video series featuring Dr. R. C. Sproul. This week is Lecture # 4: “The Assurance of Salvation (Part 1).” From the Ligonier website: “Perhaps you have a lot in common with a 16th century lawyer turned monk, Martin Luther. It was his personal struggle with the demands of God’s law that led him to the most blessed assurance of his salvation when he finally understood the biblical doctrine of justification by faith alone. In this lecture Dr. Sproul will explain, if your justification is not understood correctly, then your Christian growth will be a frustrated endeavor.” The Inquirer’s Class is for all visitors who would like to learn about the church and non-communicant members and others who would like to become members. This week’s topic: Inquiring about Presbyterian Beliefs. There are two children’s classes which use Great Commission Publications curriculum. Morning Worship Through Peter, The Holy Spirit demonstrates signs of resurrection life with two effects: two people receive life and many come to the Lord. The text is Acts 9:32-43, “Signs of Life.” Evening Worship The popular notion of the Book of Revelation is the Anti-Christ, one world government, the rapture, and the Battle of Armageddon. Unfortunately, the popular version leaves out the most significant part of Revelation: the risen and glorified Lord Jesus Christ. We meet him in Revelation 1:9-20, “The Lord of the Church.” Announcements In invitation from Brian and Ruth Hopson: Come Celebrate Independence Day on July 4th at the Hopson Estate from 12:00pm till ??
