Here are the Good Shepherd OPC announcements for June 4-10, 2018.
The Lord’s Day (June 10)
Join us for a new class taught by Pastor Chris - The Spirituality of the Church. From Charles Hodge (19th century Presbyterian Theologian and professor at Princeton Seminary): “The doctrine of our church on this subject [the Spring Resolutions of 1861] is, that the state has no authority in matters purely spiritual and that the church has no authority in matters purely secular or civil. That their provinces in some cases overlie each other ... is indeed true. ... Nevertheless, the two institutions are distinct, and their respective duties are different.” We’ll explore the “matters purely spiritual” for the church over the summer.
The children have two classes that use Great Commission Publications curriculum.
Proverbs 3:1-35, Trust in the Lord
