The children have two classes that use Great Commission Publications curriculum.
2 Samuel 2:12-32; Brothers at War

Luke 23:43; Benefits at Your Death (WSC 37)
The evening worship service is at 2:00 pm.
Adult Sunday School: We have begun an important study in the Book of 1 Corinthians. The Apostle Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians covers a wide and diverse set of topics. In the first half of the letter, he sets about to correct some erroneous views and practices in the church, especially divisions. The latter part of the letter is a series of answers to questions posed by the church (usually beginning, “Now concerning...”). Chapter 15 has the deepest treatment of the believer’s resurrection anywhere in Scripture. Join us as we journey deep into a letter that gets only scant attention in the Reformed world.
This week the Wednesday home group and study will meet at the Malamisuros’ house at 7 pm. Sharing in one another’s lives is a key element to showing love to the brethren. The session’s hope is that all will participate in our home group ministry this summer. Our study is The Enemy Within by Kris Lundgaard. Read chapter 4. If you don’t have the book, you’re still welcome to participate.
Celebrate Independence Day with the Hopsons. In their annual tradition, Brian and Ruth invite the church to a picnic on Thursday, July 4 beginning at 12:30 pm. They will provide a beautiful yard, some grilled meat, and lawn games. They ask that you bring side dishes, drinks, and/or desserts. Please also bring lawn chairs and small tents (if you desire).
Our next fellowship lunch is Sunday, July 7 after the morning service. Our food theme is ballpark foods. Please bring a main dish or side dish to share. The evening worship will be at 2:00 pm.
Upcoming in Adult Sunday School: On July 14, Deacon Jonathan Diercks will present on the OPC’s Short-term missions and disaster relief.
The Session will meet on Tuesday, July 16 at 6:30 pm.
Brochures are now available for the POH Women’s Retreat. All women in the church: Save the date. The Presbytery of Ohio’s Women’s Retreat is on September 27-28, 2019 at Camp Akita. Mrs. Diane Olinger is the speaker.
We will have an Inquirer’s Class later in July (third or fourth week) over the course of three days: a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Please let Pastor Chris know if you would like to be a part of the class. The Inquirer’s Class is intended for all to get to know the church better and is also a precursor to a membership interview.
