These are your Good Shepherd OPC announcements and worship helps for the week of February 24-28, 2016.
If you have a prayer request, please forward it to Pastor Chris to be included in the congregational prayer on Sunday morning or evening.
The Lord’s Day (February 28)
We return to our previous study, Faith of Our Fathers, which is a study of the Westminster Confession of Faith. In this nine week class, we’ll explore and study chapter two, “Of God and the Holy Trinity.”
There are two children’s classes which use Great Commission Publications curriculum.
In Acts we come to another summary. However, this one does not focus on the church’s fellowship as did the first two; rather this one focuses on the impact the church had in Jerusalem. We’ll look at Acts 5:12-16, “Impact on Outsiders.”
As we consider more of kingdom living from Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount, we’ll take a look at something that many folks don’t consider today: taking oaths. We examine Matthew 5:33-37, “Speaking Without Equivocation.”
Join us for prayer each Wednesday evening from 7-8 pm. Please send Pastor Chris any requests that you would like us to pray for.
The Session will meet tonight, Tuesday, February 23 at 6:30 pm.
Our next fellowship lunch is Sunday, March 6 after the service. We’ll have Irish style foods in honor of St. Patrick.
The Presbytery of Ohio will meet on March 10-11 in Pataskala.
The second annual Reformed in America conference will be Saturday, April 16. This year we’ll host URCNA pastor and co-host of the White Horse Inn radio show/podcast, the Rev. Dr. Kim Riddlebarger. He’ll present our topic, “Understanding the End Times” in three lectures and a Q & A, beginning at 9 am. The cost is free with an optional $10 catered lunch.
The scheduled week for the Presbytery of Ohio Youth Camp July 11-16. Posters and registration forms will be forthcoming in March.
